In a season of loss, setback, and grief... I heard the Lord whisper to me “Higher”.
This was hard to grasp because my life looked “lower than ever”. This year looked nothing like I had imagined. But He whispered again “higher”... and my faith struggled with this.
I walked around my apartment in silence… struggling. This year I encountered so much loss from loved ones to ending a relationship, and more. I realized my year hadn’t gone according to PLAN, but it did, just not my plan.
My plan didn’t have grief in it, loss, cancer diagnoses in loved ones, and mental health struggles. My plan didn’t have to downsize my ministry. My plan didn't have to pause my theological studies. None of this was my Plan. And since it wasn’t a part of what I planned, my heart grew resentful. I stopped showing up as my best self and as my best friend. 2023 broke me. I held onto faith when everything had fallen apart. When I didn’t know how my heart would heal or when I would pay a certain bill, I held onto hope.
So when the Lord whispered “higher” you see why I struggled? I have been waiting for Higher since Spring 2022.
This was the Word
"You are coming back to Yourself! Don’t Worry, Better Days Are Coming. All this wasn’t for nothing! You’re coming back with fresh ideas, fresh fire, fresh passion, fresh faith, fresh hope, and a fresh blessing. I (GOD) am bringing a freshening to your spirit and life! You’ll feel it first then you’ll see it! Don’t count it odd when you’ve seen so many attacks and opposition… this is just the sign of the forthcoming of what God is getting ready to do in your life!
Some of you have been struggling. Things that you’ve been fighting to break through God is saying fight no more, it is BROKEN. Things are going to start moving quicker & smoother for you! You went through the tumultuous path to get here! Things you thought would take another 6 months, a year, or even 3 years will start moving for you!
Higher… is what I have for you… higher higher & higher!!!
The Year of Higher
High definition is greater than normal, in quantity, size, or intensity. God was saying you will experience greater than normal faith, greater than normal blessings, greater than normal hope, greater than normal opportunities, greater than normal passion.
In Hebrew the word is Ramah, meaning "to be high". This can also mean Elevation, promotion, upgrading, advancement, or a step up. God desires to give you advancement in your life and a step up. You will experience some upgrades in your life. God says you will hear people say "that's a nice upgrade". You will experience promotion in this year.
To the Year of Higher! Believe it Daughter!
