I know we all can get caught up on our day to day lives with our own schedules, worries, and fears. However, be careful to not get stuck on your own schedule that you forget this is a war. A war for your soul and the souls of others. You must be aware that we battle not against flesh and blood but higher principalities (Eph. 6:12). We fight battles naturally that started spiritually. We are each day walking in the life fighting to stay on the straight and narrow. Many fall off and back into the old lifestyles and beliefs. Many of us each day aren't protecting our souls or interceding on the souls of others.
Each day isn't supposed to be running through the fields of flowers. Some days you must pray hard and desperate, others days you must lend a helping hand, and more days you must share parts of you that God has called. We must acknowledge that this is a war. A war to consume us with doubt and worry to turn us back to a comfortable and familiar path.
In this battle, you must be willing to shoot with the right ammo. We can't fight a spiritual battle without spiritual ammo. Our ammo and shield are all from God. Our ammo is the word of God through the Holy Spirit. Our shield is the breastplate of righteousness. We must be willing to go to war with our prayer, Bible reading, and worship. Don't forget our praise can break down the walls of our hearts and remove any chains that have kept us captive.
Put on your gear and go to war. Fight the enemy the right way. This is an ongoing war for the enemy to try and pull you back into his grasp. Get free from all your perverse thinking. Going to war, you must not allow any doors and paths to be open to the enemy. Close all doors of ungodly desires. Move forward with God in faith knowing that He will equip and prepare you to fulfill His will. Whenever you feel the tug of temptation, anxiety, or disbelief resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
This war isn't just for you to fight alone. God is with you every step of the way Strengthening you and helping you to help others. We each battle a war daily. We each decide to stay with God or to turn away. We each must go to war for our soul and the souls of others.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ( Jeremiah 29:11)
