Scared to put Yourself Out There? 3 Ways to Just Do!

Almost everyone struggles with the fear of being seen, judged, or rejected! Even people in the Bible doubted and asked, “What if I fail? What if no one cares?” It’s normal to be scared, but fear doesn’t have to be the final voice. Faith and action can be louder!
Here are three powerful ways to stop overthinking and just do it!
#1: Aim To Please God!
Honestly, fear thrives when we are obsessing over results. How many “likes” did we get on our social media posts, or did we gain the approval of others? Freedom comes when you focus on obedience and authenticity in God. Not attempting to please people, but the ultimate goal to be pleasing to God. If we first ask ourselves, “What will they think?”, then most likely fear and the approval of others are still in the way. Instead, we should be thinking, “What is God asking me to do?”

#2: Start Small & Start Scared
Remember, you don’t have to go viral—just go visible! Small steps lead to big courage: write the post, share your story, show your face on camera, apply for the degree program, and just try, sis! Know that confidence comes after action, not before! So, taking action will get you more comfortable with putting yourself out there and going for your dreams.
This is incredibly true for my YouTube© channel and Instagram©. I was so afraid to vlog because I did it so badly. I challenged myself to do it badly. Just try. And now many women love my Fearless Friday Vlogs. The more I showed up, the more confident I became.
#3: Speak Faith More Than Truth
Fear uses lies to hold us back. Lies like, “You’re not good enough,” “No one cares,” “You’ll mess it up”, “You’re not skinny enough”, and the list goes on and on. I’m sure you can think of a few.
The goal isn’t to act like that doesn’t exist, but to combat the fear with faith. Speak truth over the lies.
Fear may say, ‘I'm not good enough, ' but the Bible says, 'I am the apple of His eye.
Fear may say, “You’ll mess it up”, but the Bible says, “I will use all things for your good”.
Fear may say, “I can’t start yet”, but the Bible says, “Don’t wait until tomorrow, do what you can do today”.
I want to leave you with the very thing that helped me push past my fears and doubts, and show up. ‘Daughter, your faith has made you whole. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction” Mark 5:34.
Our faith makes us whole, our faith allows us to go in peace, our faith allows us to be healed, and our faith is all we need, even if we don’t feel 100% ready, just willing.
Prayer Journal Questions:
Write down the lie you’re believing and the truth that defeats it.
Choose one tiny step you can take this week—then commit to doing it scared!

Let’s face it: not everyone thrives in online learning environments. Hiring someone to take my online class helped me stay on top of coursework when life got too hectic. It’s a practical solution when you're overcommitted but still value your education.
