A Lamp For The Journey

A little background on Psalm 119—it’s the longest chapter in the entire Bible, and its author is unknown. Many scholars have made guesses, but no one truly knows who wrote it. Yet whoever they were, they left behind the longest chapter in Scripture.

I don’t know if you’ve ever felt overlooked, forgotten, or like your good efforts have gone unseen. Maybe you’ve felt like you did the work but didn’t receive what you thought you deserved. The truth is, there will be moments where others benefit from what you built—and you have to find peace in that. You have to be okay with doing the work, even when the recognition doesn’t come.

Even when people ignore you or don’t choose you, sis, I hope you can still see the goodness of God.

I pray that His goodness, favor, and love would be a lamp to your feet. That you would break through old barriers, fears, and self-sabotaging patterns—and that His light would shine over you every single day.

That light is shining on you, through you, and for you. It will never leave you. It will carry you through the darkest moments—from the valley all the way to the mountaintop.

I hope you realize how truly blessed you are when you kneel and bow before God. The Word of God will revive your spirit and breathe life into you. It will make all things new and empower you in ways the world never could.

May you always remember that Jesus is the lamp unto your path. So when the road gets dark, and you feel trapped in your own decisions, look to God and allow His light to lead you out. You are never too far gone for Him.

And I know this not just as a message, but as a testimony.

I was the drunk girl lying on bathroom floors. I was the girl high from smoking in the dorm rooms. I was the angry girl who kept attracting the same spirit in relationships. I was the girl stuck in toxic cycles with no way out… or so I thought.

But Jesus saved me.

May you allow JESUS to be Your Lamp.
