Everyday I take 15 to 30 minutes to just stop and reflect. This isn't easy especially when I am very busy or have a deadline coming up. But nevertheless, when I choose to pause and reflect over my day, life, emotions, and choices I began to find clarity.
Reflection can be another word for meditation. A lot of us pray, but not many meditate or reflect. When we pray without mediating we are cutting off the open dialogue that God desires to have with us. As we begin to sit and reflect and meditate on God's words, lessons, teachings, and scriptures, we will begin to gain additional insight into God's will for our lives.
Reflection helps remove the error. When we decide to sit and reflect over our day, the good, the bad, and the ugly, it allows us to be guided and taught, by what we did right and what we did wrong. Same goes for your everyday life. Reflection is when you look at decisions and events in your life and choose to make new and improved choices to better your tomorrow.
It's necessary to see acknowledge that God wants to communicate with us, and it's not rocket science, it's just taking time to decide to listen for Him. Mediation is when you are prayerfully listening for God's words, guidance, and help.
I've went many seasons without reflection and those are the seasons, I call the "sleeping seasons". Those seasons were I pushed away my intuition, I sat in situationships, hurt, bitterness and unforgiveness. When we choose to not take time for ourselves to get in-tuned with God, we are stuck to a different frequency that causes us to live and operate below the standard.
When reflection is not practiced, error is not corrected. And when mediation is not practiced, direction is not available.
As we move onward in our lives, blooming into women of God, we must choose to reflect on our decisions, good or bad, and our lives. We must all realize the choices we have made are what landed us here. And it’s here that God wants to meet us, to guide us to new places, and even to a newer desire for His love in our lives.

Prayer
Abba (Father), help me and guide me in my reflection and meditation time. Show me the things you want me to ponder on and remove the negative things of my past that try to chime in. Help me be consistent with my pure and upright thoughts. May you show me and guide me into the places of reflection, Lord. Please use this tool to correct my wrongs and make me a better vessel for you. Have your way, Lord, in my mind and in my future. Please show me a clear vision and scripture to reflect and ponder on day and night.
