Why Jesus Makes This Season Enough

Christmas is easily one of my favorite seasons of the year. I love the lights, the trees, and all the festive joy. My heart feels so full when I walk into my home and see the holiday cheer. We notice the gifts, the decorations, the ice skating, and the sparkling beauty of the season—but sometimes we forget the true meaning of Christmas.

The birth of our Savior is the miracle we celebrate. The coming of Jesus—this Advent season—is what our hearts are truly longing for as we walk through the holidays. It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed or like we don’t have enough money, time, or resources. But the truth is… we do have enough.

We have enough because of Jesus.

Jesus is the reason HDC exists. He’s the reason I’m still standing. He’s the reason my family has experienced healing. He’s the reason I’ve been able to release trauma and past pain. He’s the reason my life is what it is today.

So this holiday season, let’s keep our eyes fixed on the birth and life of Jesus. And when our to-do lists get too long or the pressure starts to rise, let’s remember this powerful truth:

Jesus is enough. His birth, His celebration, His love—all of it is enough.
