Still Holding onto the Vision

The vision still stands.

I still see it. Me, in that white coat, welcoming a mother and her little girl into the clinic. That vision hasn’t left me, even as I stand in front of a classroom teaching. Some days I pause and ask, “God, is this still what You’re calling me to? Or are you leading me somewhere new? Maybe medicine? Maybe administration?”
I don’t have all the answers, but one thing I know for sure: I’m not letting go of what He spoke over me.
This year, I’m choosing to remember what He called me to do. No more shrinking back. No more doubting my place in rooms I once prayed to walk into. Whether I’m serving in Haiti, mentoring students, or walking hospital halls, I know I’m worthy of being there.
I don’t need to sound like anyone else. I don’t need to fit a mold. I just need to be me. Fully obedient, hopeful, and connected to the Lord. And that’s more than enough.

I refuse to let anything or anyone block what God wants to do in me, with me, and through me.
Here’s how I’m keeping my “why” in front of all my “what ifs”:
Rest well (7–10 hours) per day. A temple that’s well-rested hears God more clearly.
Eat nutrient-rich foods to fuel both purpose and energy.
Move your body! Walk, dance, stretch, whatever keeps you strong for the journey.
Stay in a godly community. Let wise voices speak life, and take those words to the Father.
Stay close to God through prayer, fasting, worship, reading the Word, and serving others, because sometimes your purpose is found while pouring out.
Sis, stay close to the Lord. Keep your “why” in front of you.
The vision still stands.
