She Rose

Rising from my bed one morning, seeing the first glimpse of the morning sun of the day, I heard the word “Shero”. “Shero”, like the word hero, is a courageous woman. I wondered why God was saying these words to me, because actually I wasn't being courageous at the time. I was in my feelings about some of my life’s mess-ups, and I had many prayers with no answers. Nothing about my day-to-day life seemed like “shero”.

Honestly, long to-do lists that never fully get done, the laundry that is still sitting in the dryer, and a dishwasher that is still full makes me feel nothing like a “shero”, until I realized that “She Rose”. “She rose” isn’t only being a courageous woman, saving people, or like the heroes we see in the movie, but she is actually the one that gets up daily and saves herself.

A true “shero” is a woman that rises up from the pits that she’s been in and decides to see a new perspective. She doesn't see the pit as a time away from God, but a time that God was in there with her. A pit of her struggles and a pit of her own feelings can get in the way, but it’s up to her to stand firm and believe that somehow God is still with her. That even through the hurts, pains, delays, and unruly journey, God is still with her. He is still prompting her to rise up and be everything she’s been called to be.

Although I was excited about the “shero” idea, I realized that it was past tense. God was telling me that He has already helped me rise. He has already risen inside of me. He has already given me the courage, the power, the tools, the gifts, and the love I needed.

Today, I challenge you to take the cap off of God and yourself and realize that the very thing you have been seeking God for you already have it. She Rose means you have stepped into the alignment of God and positioned yourself for it.

Now, all it takes is faith! Get to Work sis and realize that God has already rose inside of you.
