Seize The Day

Seize; take (an opportunity or initiative) eagerly and decisively.

The sun shines through my living room window as its glow hits the pages of my journal. I begin to write. I write out all of my thoughts, fears, wonders, and desires. I dream of dreams bigger than myself and look at the impossible situations with my possible God.

I choose to get up, get dressed, and seize the day! This zeal isn’t something I obtained on my own, and still, there are days when I have to fight for it. But I’ve learned that I feel much better when I choose to get out of bed, get dressed, and take the day by the reins. All this really means is I decide to make my dreams reality on a daily basis. It may be my dream to be a healthier version, a happier version, or a more driven version. I’m not saying that each day is going to flow smoothly or be perfect, or that your passion will keep you, but I am saying that throughout moments of your day you will feel the rush of “it’s time to seize”. The rush of it’s time to turn the tv off, put the phone away, disconnect from others so you can go in with God.

So, drown yourself in your purpose and vision, get lost in making your dreams a reality. When you finally look up, hours will have passed. I find that even now, with the mundane life, we can seize our days.

We can choose to create the life we want with our hopes and dreams.

We can face our truths, and make the correct decisions and moves.

Today we can find purpose even right now while in quarantine. Besides, the answers you are searching for are not outside of you, but in you. It's time to look within and ask yourself, "what is one thing I can do today, just for me?" Or "what is one thing I can do today that will bring me joy?".

Whatever you are meant to accomplish, do it, and seize the day. If you fall short, don’t worry, Grace will catch you! Each day, rise with the expectancy that you were created to Seize this Life!

Scripture

"She is a tree of life to those who embrace her, and those who hold on to her are happy."

Prov. 3:18
