As I’ve been in preparation for the Summer Glow Up series I felt strongly that before we can glow up it's time to rededicate some areas back to God. I don’t know about you, but I can get in the way. I can pick up my things and not lay them at the foot of the cross. I can run along with my day-to-day life and schedule and try to pencil God in when I get a little time. Honestly, this still happens to me, and soon I realize it’s time for a rededication back to God.
Here are 3 ways to Rededicate Your Life To God:
First, Profess Your Struggles:
Profess the areas you are struggling in, profess the areas where you keep falling into. I have numerous prayer journals that have the same struggles. I had to profess smoking weed for months before it lost its grip on me. Don’t be afraid to just share honestly and openly with God. This will bring you healing and freedom to move forward.
Second, Feed Yourself Truth:
When you start this walk with God or rededicate your life, you must keep hearing the Word of God and spirit-filled messages. This will keep you in an atmosphere of faith. This atmosphere is what will empower you to keep feeding on truth. Read a daily devotional and choose to listen to one sermon a day.
Third, Get Connected to the Community:
It’s so easy to isolate yourself and stay in your comfort zone, but how we truly walk in God is with fellowship. When two or more people gather in Jesus' name, He is there! So we must not run from gathering but embrace it. Join a small group at your local church, or meet up with a friend one Saturday a month for coffee and bible reading. This will empower you to keep going in the Lord!
Lastly, I want to let you know that at 19 years old when I gave my life to God that changed the trajectory of my life. It didn’t mean I was perfect and still to this day, I must rededicate my life back to God because I can pick it up sometimes. I hope that you see all of you, the good and the bad, and realize Jesus can handle it.
Jesus can handle your pain.
Jesus can handle your anxiety.
Jesus can handle your fears.
Jesus can handle your doubts.
Jesus can handle your depression.
Jesus can handle your lacks.
Just give it all to Jesus and Rededicate Your Life to God Today!
