Today I just want to tell you the reality of purpose. I know you see me smiling a lot, empowering and uplifting women, but there is so much more that you actually miss.
You miss the days I'm scared of the future.
You miss the days I'm insecure about my body.
You miss the days I'm doubting God's promises.
You miss the days I'm crying, not wanting to walk in obedience.
You miss the closed doors.
You miss the "no's".
You miss the heartbreak.
You miss the family problems.
You miss the counseling sessions.
You miss the breakdowns.
You miss the pain of having a purpose in God. Walking with God changes you from the inside out and it's a life-long journey. While there is a lot of beauty, a lot of smiles, a lot of glorious moments, and a lot of women being set free, there is a lot of pain attached to purpose. Because you are carrying your cross.
Today, I just wanted to keep it real with you. That the reality of purpose is pain. But the pain is only for a moment. And the sun shines again and greatness is ahead of you.
Daughter, don't run from the reality of purpose.
