Step Into her

Walking toward the stage, my heart was pounding. Women were looking at me, and all I could think was, “God, am I ready for this?”

“I don’t belong here. I’m not rich. I don’t wear red bottoms.”

My insecurities and fears were at 100. The bright lights, the movement of people setting up, everything around me only intensified what I was already feeling.

Then it hit me—this is really it.

The very thing I had been waiting on for over a year was finally here. All I knew in that moment was to be present and take it in.

I quietly prayed, asking the Holy Spirit to use me. And then I walked to the stage.

It was no longer time to be afraid, to shrink back, or to hide. It was officially time to step into her.

To allow the woman I really am to shine through—not the fearful, timid, overly self-conscious version of me, but the powerhouse me. The woman filled with the Holy Spirit, ready to shift atmospheres and shake things up.

The truth is, I didn’t feel powerful, but I knew I was.

Despite my fears, I knew that even if I didn’t feel like I belonged, I was exactly where I was supposed to be. God had placed me there, not myself. And I was ready for it.

I had to step into her.

Not just on the stage, but in my everyday life. I could no longer afford to hide her.

For many seasons, I struggled with embracing all parts of who I am. I was afraid of judgment, afraid of comparison, and even intimidated by jealous people. But I realized something important: the longer I hide who I truly am, the more I hurt myself. I limit my own potential—and I limit what God wants to do through me.

This moment made it clear: I had to step into her and stop hiding her.

It was time to come into alignment with what God had already destined.

It was officially time to step into the woman I was created and called to be.

And I believe this same word is for you: stop hiding who you are. Embrace her.

This is your season to STEP INTO HER.

Reflection:

Where in your life are you shrinking back instead of stepping fully into who God created you to be? What “version of you” have you been hiding out of fear or insecurity? Take a moment to invite God into that place and ask Him to give you courage to fully step into her—without apology, without hesitation, and without fear.

Weekly Scripture

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.

Jeremiah 1:1-8
