Be willing to take the first step and our heavenly Father will help you through!

“Peace Out Procrastination!” is the fruit answer of the seed question: “How to Be Consistent With Your God-Given Goals?” It is the final quarter of our 2025 year! WOW!
See, like many of you, I make goals for myself to be able to tackle the day, the week, month, or years ahead! That being said, there is a point in time where we want to fall off.
I caught myself trying to do just that on a Tuesday morning in May 2025! I basically wrestled with my mind for about 30 minutes on whether or not I would go to the gym before going to work. And well, in that struggle, and final victory in actually getting to the gym, God gave me a message- “It is first a decision in your mind, Marlene/[insert your own name], before it's an action in your life!” Woooo! That made me want to sprint around my room or at least on the treadmill! Because, see, Child of God, we are meant to MAXIMIZE every area and space of our goals and lives that God has set out for us!
As the well known saying goes, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going!!” Please remember you are strong and capable “to do above, exceedingly what is asked of you because of the power of Christ working inside of you”! (paraphrased from Ephesians 3:20-21)
Thus, procrastination can look like distractions, like put-offs, like taking a break. Daughter, you know exactly what God has been calling on you to do and what you yourself want to accomplish. PEACE OUT PROCRASTINATION! You are worth the investment for the goals inside of you! Be willing to take the first step and our heavenly Father will help you through!

Practical tips on being consistent in your God-given goals are as follows:
PUT GOD at the center of your day, your schedule, your goals! Ask Him for a specific direction! PRAY, BREATHE deeply and CENTER yourself!
GET OUT of your own routine and choose to serve another individual! (A check-in text, a walk with a friend/family member, volunteering, offering words of encouragement, a hug, a smile, holding a door open, etc)!
REMEMBER YOUR WHY! Ask yourself, “WHY am I on this health plan?” “WHY am I going to the gym/doing physical activity at least 3 times a week?” “WHY am I in a small group at my church?” “WHY do I read my Bible daily?”
CHOOSE DISCIPLINE over feelings! When you use your mind by the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish your goals, you will gain the lifestyle that allows you to excel in every part of your life!
ENJOY THE CLIMB, the journey, the valleys, hills and mountain view! LISTEN, it’s about maintaining versus “getting to”! When you decide to be your best, once you get to your desired outcome, you still have to keep the same work ethic and God-centered life that got you there in the first place!
Family, you are more than capable of succeeding in the goals you have for the final quarter of the year, and going forward into 2026! Remember that God will help you finish! At the end of the day God is getting the GLORY of the STORY He is writing of our unique lives!
Weekly Scripture
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:20 - 21
