How to Bible Study Daily (Bible Study Prompt)

Are you needing help with reading the Bible? First, off let's put down this stigma that you must read it all day and every day to be loved by God. No, actually God already loves you and wants you to read His word not for His benefit, but for yours. He knows the power that lays within the Word of God and the more you read the more powerful you become in Him.

Now, that you know why you should read the Bible… Where should you start? Well, the Bible has 66 books within it and all are stories told by certain people through the prompting of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit used the people as an instrument to get Gods ideas, views and wants across.

Now.. how does one just jump into Bible reading and love it? It starts with prayer and discipline. Choosing to do it daily will not be easy at first, but with repetition, you will begin to love it.

Also, don’t go to the Bible so mystical, just go as if you are reading a new favorite book. Opening up your heart to get taken in by the stories that will actually begin to minister to your life. Places that resonate or take you somewhere within your own life, write down and make note of. And most of all embrace the Word as if you were sitting at the feet of Jesus while He taught. Learning from the ultimate teacher is life changing.

Today, if you are struggling with Bible reading don’t give up, but come back day after day ready to sit at the feet of Jesus and gain all his insight. “What is the Fathers is mine and what is mine is yours” emphasis added (John 16:15)

If you are just getting started I recommend the Book of Matthew. It shares with you the life of Jesus and all His amazing works. Take your time, take notes, and imagine Jesus himself is teaching you.

Also, if you are looking for inspiration to help with daily life be sure to read Galatians, Philippians, and Ephesians.

Happy Reading
