Our yearly Glow Up series is here, but even back in February the HDC Team was already talking about it and preparing for it. As I began the Glow Up a Month prior, I realized that in everything God tells us to do, He wants to see us get ready for it. Many times I wondered why I couldn’t afford something, why I hadn’t got the promotion, financial breakthrough or even just felt better about myself. Truthfully, it was because I wasn’t getting ready. I wasn’t taking the time to prepare for the blessing I had asked for.
I had seen a major shift in my health when I began preparing for it. When I stopped just daydreaming about it and actually started eating less candy and drinking less soda, that was me preparing myself for that which I’d prayed for.
When I started planning out my finances and putting money aside as little as 3 dollars at a time to show God I would get ready for the financial blessing.
Or when I told God over 2 years ago that I wanted to go back to school as I began getting ready by improving my credit, getting a steady job and saving that helped me make the transition.
Maybe we all need this revelation, that we don’t have what we desire yet, because we haven't prepared for it.
If you want to see major growth in your life, finances, relationships, etc, prepare for that. Start working, investing, and putting the time in that is necessary to see that growth.
My Mama would tell me “you can do anything you set your mind to”. This is something that I think about often when I come up against challenges. However, it just doesn't stop there. Once your mind is set, next you need to get prepared. You must start walking towards it in faith. YOU gotta get ready.

Getting Ready for Your Promotion may be you journaling the amount you want to make a year and the type of job you want.
Get Ready for Your Financial Breakthrough may be you making a financial plan to get you out of debt.
Getting Ready for Your What You’ve Been Praying For starts with you Taking Action!
Don't just pray for your blessing, start taking small steps towards it and watch the manifestation of God's power work on your behalf. Don't get caught up on the details of the blessing, but trust that God will take care of it all for you!
