Fitness Takes Faith

Combine the physical and spiritual wellness, and you will see yourself transform.

Working on our physical bodies can sometimes feel superficial. In actuality, both our physical and spiritual health are important to God. When we remember that our bodies are not our own, and should be used to glorify God, our choices and behaviors can be changed for the better. 

Fitness requires faith because at first, it appears nothing is happening when you step into the gym. You may feel the wave of endorphins, but once that goes away you will notice that nothing has changed. Days go by and you may feel the same. Now the soreness has kicked in and you feel like it’s a waste of your time. Trust me, I have been there and done that many times before. This is when you have to lean on your faith. Trust that the work will pay off in God’s timing. The discipline has to be exercised daily to create a routine that benefits your mind, body, and soul. 

Lifting weights strains the muscles, but eventually makes you stronger. Opening your Bible and reading the word daily will eventually produce fruit in your life even if you don’t see it at first. Combine the physical and spiritual wellness, and you will see yourself transform.
