Empty Space

In August 2019, I packed my bags, rented a U-Haul, and moved to a new city with the belief that I was following God’s prompting. I left with a mix of fear, excitement, and anticipation for what was next. I even drove my little old car into a new season of life I couldn’t fully see yet.
I remember walking through my half-empty apartment a month after moving in, speaking in faith about everything I would do in that space.
When I had no couch, the floor became my prayer spot.
When I had no chairs, the kitchen island became my desk.
When I had no TV, my phone became my only source of downtime.
Looking back, I see how much has changed and how powerful it is when you simply follow God’s prompting.
I went from living with my parents to living on my own.
From barely making ends meet to launching new products and growing a ministry.
From being held back by fear to facing fear and expecting God to move.
From listening to the lies of the enemy to standing on the promises of God.
I share my journey with you as a reminder: don’t get stuck where you are today.
Pray and believe that your season can change. Then begin taking steps toward that change—and watch how God transforms even your “empty place” into a space filled with joy, creativity, and peace.
God is with you. Trust Him.
Reflection:
What “empty space” in your life feels discouraging right now? What would it look like to start speaking faith over it instead of defeat? Ask God to help you see your current season the way He sees it—and to give you courage to take the next step forward.
Weekly Scripture
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Philippians 4:6
