Embracing Your Dream

We all have a dream, a goal, or a desire we would like to reach. No matter what season of life we’re in, we can either grab hold of a new dream—or re-grab one we once let go of.

Our dreams often come from an inner desire that says, “I want more. I am not content with where I am today.”

When you find yourself in this season of life, it’s time to start planning for your dreams.

You must remember your dreams and goals will not simply “poof” into existence. You have to take steps toward them daily.

So, take a moment and honestly answer these questions to identify the dream you are meant to pursue:

  • What dreams have you placed on the back burner because of life?

  • What dream do you avoid thinking about because facing it still hurts?

  • What dream have you pushed away due to fear?

  • What has changed about you since you last pursued that dream?

When you answer these questions, you may feel like nothing has changed—but inwardly, you have.

Planning for your dream may look like re-embracing something you put off years ago or choosing to step into a completely new direction. Sometimes we plan our days, but never actually plan for our dreams.

So instead of sticking only to the usual to-do list, it’s time to spice things up with your dreams.

Go after the dream you thought was too big. Go after the dream you thought was too impossible. Go after the dream you thought you weren’t smart enough to achieve.

Yes—go after that one.

Your dreams matter, and they lead you deeper and deeper into your purpose.

Stop sleeping on your dreams.

Reflection:

What dream came to mind as you read this? What is one practical step you can take this week to move toward it—no matter how small? Ask God to give you clarity, courage, and consistency. Then write it down, and begin.

Weekly Scripture

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish.
