Confidence Opens Doors

So many times, people believe they’re waiting on God. But in reality, God is waiting on them to be bold enough to step out.

I realized that what held me back the most in the early years of my ministry wasn’t the enemy—it was my lack of confidence. I truly felt like I wasn’t enough to do what God was calling me to do. I questioned whether people would believe that I had really changed. I often felt overlooked in my youth, and that lack of confidence followed me into adulthood and into my calling.

What held me back the most… was me.

For a long time, I had a missing side tooth on each side of my mouth, and it deeply affected my confidence. I barely smiled. I hesitated to fully show up on my YouTube channel because I was afraid people would notice. I showed up the best I could, holding onto hope that one day I’d be able to fix my teeth.

Then one year, I finally did. I got my teeth fixed and whitened—and I felt like a new person.

I smiled more. I became more open in conversations. I showed up online without fear of being exposed. Fixing my teeth unlocked a new level of confidence and a new version of myself. I started writing books, taking photos, and truly allowing God’s light to shine through me.

And that’s when I realized… it wasn’t God holding me back all that time—it was my lack of confidence.

So here’s the question I want to leave you with: How different would you show up if you were truly confident?

Would you write the book?

Start the business?

Launch the YouTube channel?

Begin the nonprofit?

Whatever it is, it’s connected to your confidence.

And maybe God isn’t waiting to move… maybe He’s waiting on you to believe that you can.

Identify the fear, replace it with truth, and ask God to help you show up differently—more confident, more secure, and more aligned with who He has called you to be.
