Choose Her & Don't Look Back

Driving down an old back road one day, I found myself reflecting on my life—the choices I made, the paths I took, and even the tears I had shed along the way.
But those tears weren’t from sadness.
They were from seeing God’s goodness woven through it all.
Not because my life was perfect. Not because I got everything I wanted. But because, over six years ago, I made one decision that changed everything:
I chose Him.
And in choosing Him… I found her.
I realized something in that moment—if I had never chosen God, I would have never chosen her. I would have never stepped into the version of me He had been calling me toward all along.
The healed version. The faith-filled version. The disciplined version. The ministry-builder. The giver. The woman walking in purpose.
She didn’t just appear overnight—she was revealed through obedience.
Choosing her meant releasing the excess baggage that once kept me stuck. It meant letting go of old mindsets, unhealthy patterns, and identities that no longer aligned with where God was taking me.
God didn’t just change parts of my life—He rebranded me.
He led me down a new path where my identity would no longer be rooted in the past, but fully anchored in Him.
Every YouTube video. Every blog post. Every step in purity. Every devotional you’ve read over these 9 years…
They are all the fruit of one decision: choosing her.
Choosing the version of me that God showed me.
And here’s the truth: choosing her is choosing the life God intended for you all along.
You can’t become who you’re called to be while clinging to who you used to be.
“Her” lives within you.
She shows up in the quiet thoughts where you know you’re capable of more.
She’s in the conviction to be more disciplined, more consistent, more aligned.
She’s in the desire to grow—in your health, your faith, your finances, your relationships.
For each of us, “her” will look different depending on the season.
But one thing remains the same:
God will always give you a vision of a better version of yourself.
And it’s up to you to choose her.
Because when you do—God begins to open doors, shift environments, and make room in your life for that version of you to fully come forth.
This is your glow up.
Not just external change—but internal transformation that shows up in how you live, think, and walk with God.
So don’t just visit this version of you—be her.
Stay true to her. Protect her. Grow into her daily.
Reflection:
Take a moment and look within. Who is the “her” God has been showing you?
What thoughts, habits, or patterns have been trying to pull you away from becoming her? And more importantly—what would your life look like if you fully committed to choosing her every single day?
Write it down. Be honest. Be bold.
Because this is the moment where everything shifts.
Not because you’re starting over—But because you’re finally walking in who you were always meant to be.
